Sign Language

I have always wanted to learn sign language.  For a while I would learn words to teach to one of my roommates little sisters.  But she moved away and I stopped.  I wish I hadn’t.  I have a friend whose daddy is deaf and I love watching him do sign language.  This video inspires me to perhaps get off my butt and tackle this.  This is something I can do and I will be better for it.

The video below is an advertisement for Samsung but get out the tissues because it is heart warming.

I believe we should teach sign language in our schools.  It is a skill that children can learn before they can talk.  It seems like a no brainer that adding it into our curriculum.

I hope you’re inspired and warmed as much as I am.

Ooopsy

Once again I find myself admitting to failing to do this blog daily.  I started off so good only to fall off the wagon over the holidays.  But the face plant off the wagon didn’t happen until January when the holidays were officially over.

I have no excuses.  I don’t promise to do better.  I will however say I hope you’ve been enjoying life as much if not more than I have. 🙂

Embracing Time With Loved Ones

Every minute you have with someone you love is precious. Don’t waste any time being impatient, grumpy, offended, or any other such negative emotion. Don’t rush off the phone or away from someone because that may be the last time you see them. Don’t act or say grumpy things because that may be the last time you talk to them. Embrace the time you have with loved ones. Always remember there is no guarantee how long you have with on this earth with anyone and be thankful for the time you have.
